Rear Window Channel Repair

I wasn't able to make it down to the garage this week because of work, but my Master Auto Body friend started replacing the metal around the rear window.  I also want to take this opportunity to thank Mr. F for helping me with this project, without him it simply wouldn't be possible.

A lot of the metal has rusted away from around the rear window
 Tools of the trade
New metal bent and in place
 Welding like a boss
 Grinding like a boss
Finished new metal with fiberglass coating, look 100% better -- all the front and rear window metal that is in bad shape will be replaced.

New Trunk Lid!

New trunk lid has arrived for the Impala from Texas.  It looks great -- no dents, very little surface rust.  I'm going to keep it off the car for now, so it can be painted separately.

Today we took out both windows of the impala so we can work on the window channels.  New metal will go in both the front and back window.  Update coming soon:  New LH rear fender patch panel.

Gotta keep your eye on the prize! :)
